Roadside drain blocked with vegetation
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9703525.
The drain is outside our property, there was so much rain on Friday , none went down the drain it went down our driveway and flooded our garage with 5 inches of water. We appreciate the drain probably couldn’t have coped with all of the water , but if it was cleared, it would have taken some of it.

- Where surface water from the highway is entering private property
- Where there is a build-up of surface water at a bus stop
- Where there is a build-up of surface water at pedestrian crossings

Great news, we have progress on your report. Our inspection team have completed their investigations and instructed repairs to be completed. At this time the repair does not meet our immediate repair criteria.
We have added this repair to our future schedule of works. This could be due to several factors we’ve encountered:
- Further cleaning of the main pipe is required
- A blockage has been discovered in another area
- The gulley requires a full replacement
