A Surface Condition problem has been found

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9588342.

Public footpath is crumbling underfoot structurally failed between properties 2-3 between edge of carriageway and properties. Believe this is needing re tarmacked and have the slabs come out. Nobody can drive up the footpath to park on their driveways and nobody can even walk on this footpath it is in such bad condition. Driveways are in a state, has been subject to lorries turning on the property of number 3 Lesbury Drive, this is no longer happening but the footpath is in a desperate state.

    We've completed our investigation and works are now planned. We aim to complete repairs within 28 working days.

  • The whole area of footpath/driveway between the dropped kerbs has structurally failed. Tarmac patch repairs will not survive. Suggest concrete construction (as per the two examples on the other side of the road opposite) would represent a far better long term solution, obviously at an increased cost. A proper job will be appreciated by locals, tourists and runners alike.
