The road by our house toward A1 junction is horrendous. A few months ago they repaired some potholes but this has actually made the road worse. All night when Lorrie's or heavy vehicles pass the rattle and bang as they pass over the repairs. Nobody is getting any sleep here

Road surface damaged. Needs re surfaced. The pothole repairs are crude and wagons now bounce over them

  • Thanks You for your report. This does not meet the Councils criteria for a pothole repair. Northumberland County Council will instruct repairs on hazardous defects once a depth of ≥40mm and ≥300mm wide in any direction is assessed on a road. For a footway we will instruct repairs at an intervention level of ≥ 20mm. Each report is risk assessed by our Highways Inspection team up inspection.
