Footpath not reinstated after planting
Reported via desktop in the Ploughing/cropping category anonymously at 15:16, Wednesday 27 May 2026
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9515109.
There is a public footpath diagonally through the field immediately south of Ulgham Broom Farm. The field is full of mature wheat and there is no sign of the footpath. There have been similar problems in the past and the farmer has been very aggresive when I walked round the edge of the field in order to avoid the crops. There are also other issues on thsi footpath e.g. rusty barbed wire hidden in the vegetation growing over the path, broken styles etc.

I visited today (27/6/2026) and no action has been taken. All of the paths in the vicinity of Ulgham Broom Farm are unmaintained and almost impassible in places. I understand that this is a criminal matter so why is no action taken by the Council?

Still no action. What is the point of asking if the matter has been fixed when you do nothing?
