Heritage Finger Post Sign Requires Maintenance

The beautiful black and white heritage fingerpost sign on the village green in High Newton is rusting and needs repainting work to ensure it is preserved in good condition.

It is an important feature in a sensitive location in a designated Northumberland Coast National Landscape setting.

In recent years a local retired painter and decorator took good care of this sign by repainting it as a volunteer but he can no longer do this due to ill health.
