There are two large potholes under flyover on Whalton to Morpeth Road

Reported via mobile in the Potholes category anonymously at 17:39, Friday 24 April 2026

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9350053.

The large potholes are not visible to cyclists because of the darkness under the flyover. They are wide and deep. I hit them as I was cycling this afternoon - I know the road is not great at that point but I was forced to ride closer to the kerb than I usually would because cars weee overtaking me. Both of my tyres are punctured and torn and my bike is now awaiting assessment and repair at a cycle dealer. This was the second incident from the same spot that has been reported to the cycle dealer today. Fortunately , I was not hurt but someone will be unless this problem is sorted.
