Water running across road causing a hazard

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9301339.

In the past few months the side of the road/verge was dug up to lay an electric or telephone cable. The used to be a ditch that stopped the water running across the road. This has been filled in and not reinstated to its original design by the contractor. This has led to significant surface water running across the road even during relatively dry weather. This is a hazard during normal conditions, when ice cold weather arrives this will present a significant hazard to road users.
