Large tree branch jutting out into csrriageway

Reported via mobile in the Trees affecting highways or pavements category anonymously at 10:06, Tuesday 14 April 2026

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9288785.

A large tree branch is jutting several feet from the verge onto the north bound lane on the road. This is just after a blind summit heading northbound. Any vehicle travelling north travels over the crest of the road and is immediately confronted with the large tree branch jutting out across the carriageway. This tree is located in a field off the west verge. Vehicles have to cross onto the south bound lane of the carriageway on order to avoid colliding with the large branch. This is a substantial tree branch which would require a chainsaw to remove. The location of this obstruction is approximately 400 metre north of the entrance to Morpeth Town football club.
