Public bridleway not accessible
Reported via mobile in the Obstructed by boundary feature category anonymously at 14:55, Wednesday 8 April 2026
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9258715.
There is a public bridleway which travels from the west of Doe Hill, to the south of southern edge and out onto the road. One of the gates in the field ( w3w location playback.announce.families) is not on hinges and completely inaccessible from horse back, two others (w3w location skimmers.cheered.gloom and winds.hikes.fine) travel through a wooded area where there is no track, another gate (w3w location spans.endearing.expired) is a sheep hurdle in the middle of electrified wire and the final gate (w3w location latched.apartment.works) which is actually in good order is totally unable to be used due to gorse taking over in the side of the road. Please could these issues be addressed as a matter of urgency as at the moment they are causing a danger to users and with the weather improving they will be used more and more. Unfortunately from my ride today due to difficulties, my horse has snapped a leather rein, I have ended with scratches on my arms and legs from the gorse and also caused damage to the bodywarmer I was wearing. Thanks
