Broken Drain Cover – Serious Safety Hazard (Previously Reported Twice, No Action Taken)

This issue has now been reported on two previous occasions and remains unresolved, which is completely unacceptable given the clear danger it presents. The drain cover on this footpath is broken and partially collapsed, leaving a large open void. This creates a significant trip and fall hazard for pedestrians, particularly for children, elderly residents, and anyone with reduced mobility or visual impairment. The defect is located directly on a well-used pedestrian route and poses an immediate risk of injury. The surrounding surface is also uneven and degraded, further increasing the likelihood of an accident. The current condition suggests the defect has been left unattended for a considerable period. This requires urgent attention. At minimum, the area should be made safe immediately (e.g. temporary barrier or cover), followed by a full repair or replacement of the damaged cover and reinstatement of the surrounding surface. Given this has already been reported twice without resolution, I request this is treated as a priority and actioned without further delay.
