Storm drain blocked
Reported via mobile in the Blocked - Flooding of Road/Path category anonymously at 15:20, Monday 6 April 2026
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9246300.
I reported this issues back in November still not cleared and still flooding, yet I received an email to tell me it has been fixed and issues resolved. This is clearly not the case and back in November I was told would be dealt with within 14 days! This is a continuous problem in our area with several drains flooding so obviously a bigger problem going on, but for now I would appreciate not coming out to disgusting drain water flooding the path very near to my front door with god knows what floating up out of the drain.

Great news, we have progress on your report. Our inspection team have completed their investigations and instructed repairs to be completed. At this time the repair does not meet our immediate repair criteria.
We have added this repair to our future schedule of works. This could be due to several factors we’ve encountered:
- Further cleaning of the main pipe is required
- A blockage has been discovered in another area
- The gulley requires a full replacement
If this issue is causing a potential flooding concern or poses a risk to a property, please call 0345 600 6400.
Thank you.
