Broken cattle grid - immediate danger to vehicles and cyclists

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9229401.

I have already reported verbally by telephone to Amy at NCC. The damage was first noticed this morning 2.4.26. A large bar on the cattle grid has dropped down, resulting in a huge gap where small vehicles could be damaged due to wheels falling in the gap. We have many cyclists on this road and the cattle grid is hazardous.

  • Unfortunately, the cattle grid has still not been fixed, one month after reporting and with a follow up phone call on 24th April to ask for updates. Also reported another cattle grid in the village being full of solid mud so that livestock can cross into the village unimpeded. Still not investigated or fixed by NCC.
