Dangerous road / collapse

There is a significant collapse of the road edge on High Maiden Way near Featherstone (approx. 100 yards from the Wallace War Memorial).
The tarmac edge has been completely undermined and washed away, leaving a deep hole at the roadside. The void extends beneath the road surface and is not fully visible from above, creating a serious hazard.
This presents a danger to vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians, as the road edge could give way further. There is also a risk of vehicles slipping into the hole, especially at night or in poor visibility.
The issue appears to be caused by water erosion and may worsen without urgent repair.
Location: High Maiden Way, near postcode NE49 0JH, approximately 100 yards from the Wallace War Memorial.
Please investigate and make safe as a matter of urgency.
