Broken Glass and Dog Fouling on Footpath

Reported via desktop anonymously at 12:40, Saturday 21 March 2026

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9159501.

I am reporting an ongoing issue on the footpath in this area. The path is frequently covered in broken glass, creating a safety hazard for pedestrians, particularly the many parents and children who use this route daily for school. In addition, there is a significant and persistent problem with dog fouling along the path. The level of waste present is unacceptable and poses both health and cleanliness concerns. I request that the council:

Arrange for the path to be swept and maintained on a regular schedule Install dog waste bins at convenient points along the route Place clear signage reminding dog owners of their responsibilities

Addressing these issues will greatly improve safety and hygiene for all residents who rely on this footpath.

  • Please request litter bin to West Bedlington Town Council. Path is too narrow for a sweeper to travel along

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
