Unsafe structure. Risk to the public

Reported via mobile in the Crash Barriers - Damaged/Unsafe category anonymously at 14:17, Monday 16 March 2026

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9116349.

The derelict property at the corner of Bishopton St and William St, Blyth The building is presenting a risk to members of the public. Due to strong winds and the condition of the property, several roof slates have become dislodged and have landed in the carriageway and outside the local school, raising public safety , particularly for children and pedestrians in the area. In addition to this the current pedestrian Chapter 8 signage and barriers around the property also pose a risk to pedestrians. The current set up is directing pedestrians into the moving traffic. This is especially high risk in the morning and afternoon school runs. This issues have been ongoing for some time now.
