Blocked ditch

Reported via mobile in the Blocked Ditch category anonymously at 18:25, Tuesday 3 March 2026

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 9039960.

Drain fully blocked with mud, floods when raining. I have already reported this & it has been marked as fixed today which it absolutely has not been. The photo attached was taken at 1816hrs 3/4/26. Residents have to park their cars in this ditch & mud is being trailed onto cars & houses as a result. Can someone please contact me asap about this as residents are very unhappy that it has been marked as resolved when it hasn’t.

  • Great news, we have progress on your report. Our inspection team have completed their investigations and instructed repairs to be completed. At this time the repair does not meet our immediate repair criteria.

We have added this repair to our future schedule of works. This could be due to several factors we’ve encountered:

    • Further cleaning of the main pipe is required
    • A blockage has been discovered in another area
    • The gulley requires a full replacement

If this issue is causing a potential flooding concern or poses a risk to a property, please call 0345 600 6400.

    Thank you.
