New fence prohibits access and style broken

Reported via mobile in the Stile out of repair category anonymously at 12:07, Sunday 22 February 2026

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8972866.

Https://w3w.co/warnings.redefined.pacifist What three words above This is the approximate position of the stile. The stile is broken, but the issue is, is that the field has been re fenced with wire netting 2m inside the boundary and in the gap planted with trees. Therefore there is no way you can use the stile even if you could you cannot now access the path.? I understand fields need to be fenced put priority should be given to access before you start fencing, put the stiles in first so access is not an issue. There is a lot of fencing work being done and I feel this is not the only problem stile etc. I could not access the path any further which was disappointing.

  • This access and style have not been rectified no way of gaining access to the public footpath due to fencing if you had come from the other direction and couldn’t manage to get over the metal fencing you would either have to return the way you’ve come or walk round the perimeter of the field to try and find a gated access. It’s been nearly 6 weeks and still nothing done. There are other issues at the other end of the short path once again no style or access over the secondary fencing inside the field see other report posted.
