Environmental Hazard

Reported via desktop in the Surface Condition category by Lee Thompson at 12:58, Wednesday 4 February 2026

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8836815.

This area (approx 6 square metres, just off the footpath, corner of 20 acres just next driving range of Bedlingtonshire Golf course) becomes waterlogged after rain & when it does the area holds foul smelling 'liquid' which looks horrendous. It definitely looks like it's contaminated with chemicals &/or oil. It's absolutely disgusting & very likely a health hazard to both humans & wildlife. It's been appearing for a number of years now & is getting worse each time, it really needs investigating before someone is made ill.
