Gutters to side of A696 from Ponteland village sign to limestone lane have never been brushed out or cleaned for over five years causing water to pool out into the road the footpaths are also neglected to the same extent

Blocked and dirty road gutters and drains causing excessive surface water and what will eventually lead to costly repairs which could be avoided with a bit of basic common sense maintenance.

  • We have attended the reported gulley. We still require further investigation to resolve the issue. This could be due to several factors we’ve encountered:

    • Further cleaning of the main pipe is required
    • A blockage has been discovered in another area
    • The gulley requires a full replacement
