Sawmill loading wagon damaging verge markers
Reported via desktop in the Safety Bollard - Damaged/Missing category anonymously at 08:11, Monday 26 January 2026
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8766874.
The local sawmill loads its wagon daily on the public road outside the sawmill. This blocks the road and poses a safety risk to other road users as it occurs on a bend in the road and they do not use a banksman. Verge markers are being damaged and verge eroded. This could be avoided by loading the wagon facing into the sawmill entrance on one side and then turning it around to load the other side. They used to do this.
