Road becomming too narrow in places due to mud, soil on the edges of the road.

Reported via desktop in the Mud on Road category anonymously at 17:18, Saturday 3 January 2026

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8621407.

The locations I am referring to begin at the section just east of the railway level crossing i.e. near the old Warkworth Mainline station and in many places heading down Station Road.

In many places the road is becomming too narrow due to soil, mud, creeping on to the edges of the road. The situation is exacerbated by overgrown trees, shrubs, hedging and weeds: especially where the road bears to the R after crossing the level crossing and also past the bridge at Houndean House (see map) as the road bears left and then shortly after bears right.

In a couple of sections, cars have to give way to oncoming traffic, especially where the road bears to the R after crossing the level crossing and also past the bridge at Houndean House (see map) as the road bears left and then shortly after bears right. Where there are sections of footpath, it is difficult to walk on the path with a buggy in places;
