Main stepping stone loose
Reported via mobile in the Stile out of repair category by Janet Murphy at 12:41, Tue 23 December 2025
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8585370.
There is a loose stone on the stile from the public right of way across the caravan park in Longframlington, located behind and between numbers 13 and 15 Simonside Drive, postcode NE65 8BQ (exact location on what3words is ///lump.influence.prayers)
The stone in question is the first one you step onto once you’ve crossed over the top of the stile to the path on the Simonside side and it is really wobbly. It’s a long stone that goes from one side of the wall to the other and it has been like this for many weeks. It could easily cause a bad fall or twisted ankle, especially in the current conditions when it’s wet and icy and a hazard for the many regular users.
