Car blocking access for bin wagon
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8444518.
There is often cars parked on the path at the bottom of Simonside terrace and a car parked right on the bend, this makes it difficult to get passed. As a result of the red car being there all week we've not had our bins emptied because the bin wagon could not get past. There needs to be double yellow lines around there.

Waiting restrictions such as double yellow lines require a legal order as per the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. This often takes 12-18 months or longer due to the process involved and reduces parking for residents, often leading to objections. We therefore recommend contacting the Police for obstructive parking complaints, as only they have the powers to move a vehicle for obstructions
