Regular extensive flooding of B road at point indicated (map ref 925304).
Reported via desktop in the Flooding category by John Shepherd at 14:41, Wed 19 November 2025
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8439962.
For years even moderate rain has produced flooding of this B road near the lay-by at the Ad Gefrin archaeological site. It forms in two places, the western one - see photos taken from the east - being the worst, causing vehicles to veer across the road to avoid the water, endangering oncoming traffic. Proper drainage is needed on to neighbouring farm-land or some other soak-away. Action is long overdue.

No evidence of any work on this, but it hasn't rained much since I reported.

It's hard to see what has been done. Maybe a bit of verge clearing. But the problem is much reduced, whatever remedy has been applied. Someone has made an effort.
