Litter on lane & in bottle banks

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8438375.

Litter is still being left on top of full bottle banks with the result that it is being blown or probably dragged along the lane & grass verges at this bottle bank site. Please can bins be re sited where they can be monitored as they are just being used for rubbish & fly tipping

  • Ongoing issues with litter & broken glass at bottle banks. Deposited food litter has resulted in packs of rats overtaking the bins & dragging litter into verges & along the lane. Please locate bins to where they can be monitored effectively.

  • After a clear up around the bottle banks unfrotunately litter has been left in the top of the bins rather than glass so this is now blowing around the area again + there is still broken glass around the bottle banks themselves. Locals have picked up the glass actually on the road which drivers were having to drive around if they saw it but cannot pick up all the small pieces
