Good morning, Thank you for sending somebody out this morning. Please find attached a 'structural water drainage problem overview'. I am a (Dutch) structural engineer with years long experience, worked for the Dutch Government on civil (highway) matters; pleased to talk & advice you. thank you, Gerard van der Veen

  • Thank you for contacting us about an issue with a drain.

    Our inspection teams will review your report within 10 working days.

    We will investigate drain reports that relate to the following:-

    • Where cars are having to drive on the opposite side of the road due to a blocked drain
    • Where pedestrians are having to walk off the pavement into the road due to a blocked drain
    • Where the road is not passable due to blocked drains
    • Where surface water from the highway is entering business premises
    • Where surface water from the highway is entering private property
    • Where there is a build-up of surface water at a bus stop
    • Where there is a build-up of surface water at pedestrian crossings

    Thank you for your update and looking into it. Previous time I could not submit all pictures. These pictures I have taken today (13.11.25) and as you can see - and explained in my previous drawing - these are fi 2 of the non working drains - although they were emptied earlier in the week.     Good afternoon, it's been months now and we haven't heard anything from your department anymore. I have send a detailed picture with the problem of all the non working drains along our road. Today, as you can see on the pictures attached, the river is that high, not a problem at all, but the drains in the field and road are not working.They have been cleaned but that's not the problem. Can somebody pls get in touch, thank you. kind regards, Gerard
