Road floods due to road level being lower than the drain

When it rains, the water visibly flows down the street towards this point but because the road is much lower than the height of the drain, it all pools to in front of our driveway. We can’t leave the house on foot without walking through deep areas of water. It has been like this for over 12 months. We moved here last September but to be honest we had so much going on we didn’t realise the extent of the problem. Over the summer it’s been fine but as soon as the wet weather has started again it’s happening loads and it’s causing us problems. Thanks.
