Road damage due to flooding

Reported via mobile in the Damage to Structure category by Steve batey (wark parish vice chair) at 17:35, Tuesday 4 November 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8376642.

The fords at Ne48 3ed are not fit for purpose anymore. The frequency of flooding is dangerous and damaging the infrastructure. There is no safety on either ford and the signage is misleading to those who do not know the fords. There is now a prestigious holiday let that has customers from all over the world, do you want one of these people to die in the flood waters. The photos show a mild flooding at 2 foot deep on the 4th of November, it does get way beyond that.

As part of the local transport plan, wark parish council has submitted this as a major requirement, and would like to have a meeting with the correct folks to discuss options.
