Overgrown Trees
Reported via desktop in the Hedge Cutting category anonymously at 09:43, Tuesday 14 October 2025
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8292711.
The trees have become very overgrown (and have been for several months), restricting access in some areas. This is now affecting the street lighting, making it unsafe to walk through, especially in the evenings as it gets darker. It would be greatly appreciated if this could be addressed.
Additionally, there is a significant amount of litter — including cans, bottles, and general rubbish — scattered along the path. This poses a safety concern for many people who use this route to access the bus stop, Northumberlandia, and the garden centre.

Ref 8292711. Further to my above complaint. I can see that this has not even been looked at yet or in fact been rectified. Please advise when this will be dealt with as it’s now the dark nights and it’s quite dangerous/intimidating to walk through.
