Dangerous overhanging trees

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 20:41, Sunday 21 September 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8195017.

The south side of the B6306 north of Hackwood Glade is obstructed by overhanging trees. This has been reported previously but no action has been taken. Regardless of who owns the trees, does NCC not have a duty of care to people using this road ? The situation is now DANGEROUS due to northbound vehicles being forced to drive in the middle of the road to avoid risk of damage from the tree branches. Last week, due to oncoming traffic I was forced to swerve into the trees and have now suffered minor damage to my motorhome. This long standing issue must be rectified ASAP to prevent more serious damage to vehicles or vehicle collision on the visually obstructed bends on this section of road.
