Road surface is dangerous for less able pedestrians

Reported via desktop in the Surface Condition category by Councillor Jane Hamilton at 23:26, Wed 17 September 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8180548.

At a recent Parochial Church Council meeting In Eglingham, the state of Church Lane was raised. There are holes and irregularities which make access difficult for many of our ageing congregation. Recent building work and associated heavy vehicles have added to the state of disrepair. This road needs to be inspected to make it more accessible to pedestrians and vehicles.

  • Please can you provide me with an update. This fault is still not fixed and the road presents a risk for elderly and less able pedestrians walking to church.
