After thorough investigation Northumbria Water say the problem is being caused by ground water

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8157689.

I first reported the problem over a year ago but the issue has continued. Last year there was an icy patch in front of my gate which is dangerous. I do not want the same problem this winter. I am 73 years of age & if I should slip on ice & fall I will seel legal advice. Time Line for 2025 26.8 25 I reported leak 9.9.25 Area checked & informed a team would visit to dig up pavement. 10.9 25 Area dug up 12.9.25 Visit by clean water team 12.9.25 Visit by sewage team 12.9.26 Visit by clean water team

Advised that it is a ground water problem & to contact Northumberland County Council for their assessment as to resolving the problem. Northumbria Water Authority Job No. JFOOIMI58272

  • Problem is ongoing. It's usually worse after rainfall & twice this past week the water has been running down the pavement to the gate of number 13. If & when this freezes it will be treacherous!
