Litter & overgrown vegetation leading to Hide hill.

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8117429.

The steps leading from the Maltings car park down & through to Hide hill is full of litter. Additionally the abandoned area up to the empty shop in the alley is overgrown with weeds. Essentially the area is a complete mess & eyesore.

  • This area was litter picked but the the area next to the empty shop is private land not NCC

  • I understand if the land is private but I walked through & there was lots of rubbish on the pathway still. If the land is private then surely the NCC can instruct the landowner to tidy it up? The area is overgrown & is filthy outside the vacant shop in the alleyway.

  • The Senior Team Leader will schedule in litter picking of this area 3 times a week. The issue regarding the private land has now been sent over to the Highways Inspector for this area.
