Centre line not replaced after resurfacing

Reported via mobile in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 15:44, Wed 3 September 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8114376.

This road has just been resurfaced after years of patching and the centre line has not been painted back on. This is a busy road, used by locals, tourists, HGVs and tractors. This road was wide enough for two lanes of traffic but the centre line was vital for keeping drivers safe. The lack of a centre line is leading some drivers to think they can drive towards oncoming traffic in the middle of the road. This is made worse by the new lines at the edge of the road appearing to make the road narrower instead of being placed at the true edge of the road.

The road has been made so much more dangerous for no reason whatsoever.
