Obscured 20 mph sign and others.

Reported via desktop in the Obscured by vegetation or Dirty category anonymously at 13:10, Mon 1 September 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8102827.

The 20 mph sign outside the school is totally obscured 2 days before the school reopens to children. Appalling. Other road signs completely obscured on Cottage Road and South Road. All essential signage and all completely obscured. Don't you check these things, they have obviously been overgrown for months. The Potholes and disappearance of the road surface at the Junction of the A697 and B6525 is still awaiting repair after a year.

  • All of the original complaint is outstanding. The 20 mph sign outside the school is still covered 5 weeks into the school term. Are children and the signage outside schools not a priority. Other signs on South Road and Cottage road are still partially or completely overgrown. Other signs have since been flattened by Autumnal storms and not replaced. I'm wondering if the council tax in Wooler is getting spent elsewhere. Please fix ASAP, if a child is injured or an accident occurs elsewhere due to bad signage I willensure all this information and delay is passed to the relevant investigation.
