Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8039141.
I asked for warning road markings to be provided upon the approch to 3 rowfoot cottage haltwhistle ne490je and between there and rising side cottage ne490je several years ago . the local council approved these and these works have not been carried out ???. its like a race track at the weekends with modified cars and motor cycles heading to and from hartside the ( local racetrack road ) .we are located in a dip in the road between the 2 addresses and exiting and approching our drive is sometimes a very frightening experience due to the exessive speed of vehicles from eighter directions. there has reciently been a 40mph speed limit applied further up the road from us so hopefully something can be done for us .in the past 2 years i've had a van come off the road on approch to my house and run the full front of my house hit the gatepost and gate and the telegraph pole and land on its side. a motor cycleist fail to negotiate the bend and a bus go off the road opposite and smash the drains avoiding a speeding car that was cutting the corner. as well as or an alternative to a speed limit would be some 2.8 slow road markings and some yellow rumble strips to try to control the situation
