Large oil spill in middle of road at entrance to bridge

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8038539.
A car (grey fiesta) crashed into the bollard at entrance to the wark bridge last night and was moved to the side of the road by ?friends (no AA/police in attendance) however there has been a large oil spill left in the middle of the entrance to the wark bridge which is a cause for concern for motorists. Unable to find any sand to put down. Please could the spill be covered to make it safe incase it rains. Thanks
