Tree overgrown & leaning
Reported via iOS in the Trees in housing estates category anonymously at 17:03, Wednesday 16 July 2025
Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7888322.
The tree is far too big for the location. It is leaning due to the force of westerly wind, and will fall on vehicles of property. It is affecting tv/phone signals. It’s overgrown at base and so grass can’t be cut properly by council operatives. The trees are the wrong species and far too big to be so close to houses. It needs radical coppicing or complete removal. Previously reported and nothing has been done.

Not sorted and further reported that saplings/offshoots are growing in the grass verge around the tree. They also need removing (not cut if the grass cutter comes) or there are going to be even more issues.

Branches have been trimmed as high as guys reach. Tree still far too tall, overgrown and leaning. Nothing at all done about all the saplings growing in the verge around the tree. Half a job. Waste of time
