Smashed glass in sand / sand dune area

Reported via mobile in the Littering category anonymously at 00:46, Tue 15 July 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7868658.

There seems to be a massive problem with children having beach parties in the sand dunes / on the beach at alnmouth multiple times a week. I have collected two large bags of litter and glass bottles this week from the sand dunes but the smashed glass - they are burying in the sand and against the blocks on the beach. It’s a massive safety issue for dogs and children especially and is really making the beach unsafe to use for local people and tourists.

They’ve also graffiti’d the blocks and lit fires, I’m really concerned it’s only a matter of time before somebody gets seriously hurt.
