A garden shrub is overgrowing the pavement

Reported via desktop in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 15:03, Friday 27 June 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7774802.

My wife is unable to use her pavement only mobility scooter to visit her friend because the shrub is overgrowing the pavement and the remaining gap is less than the width of the scooter Many dropped kerbs on Kirkhill are still to steep for pavement only scooters (e.g. westgate}. The one at the junction of Abbey Meadows and Turners Way is non existant

  • Good Afternoon Mr Wheeler,

Thankyou for bringing this to our attention.

I will ask our area team to trim the shrub back. In regards to the lack of dropped kerbs.

In regards to the dropped kerbs we will add this request onto our dropped kerb request database. However it should be noted that there is a backlog of requests due to the volume we receive.
