Verges dangerous as no visibility

Reported via mobile anonymously at 16:58, Tue 17 June 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7724250.

From a1 berwick bypass turn off for low cocklaw along u100 road to the border road past Low Cocklaw in Berwick upon tweed. Also letham bank road from high letham berwick upon tweed to the B6461 paxton road. Minor roads and the verges are so high now you cannot see oncoming cars or lorries or farm vehicles. Its a single track road. There are no proper passing places so we rely on the verges to pass cars safely. We cannot do this as they are so tall and will cause damage to cars. This is extremely dangerous as while some of us take care on the road others who use the Edge for swimming drive way too fast. This is about a 2 and a half mile stretch of road from a1 to border road and about a quarter of a mile for letham bank road. It all needs to be cut back. The worry is there will be a head on collision at some point.
