Long grass restricting view of oncoming traffic when leaving the layby

Reported via mobile in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 12:49, Sun 25 May 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7615547.

This is a reoccurring problem that is always fixed after reporting but there does not seem to be a rota of cutting this verge. Grass frequently grows to such a height that oncoming traffic is impossible to see when leaving the lay-by

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 13:01, Sun 22 June 2025

  • 22/06/25Not yet cut. South exit of lay-by unusable due to danger of oncoming traffic. However many use the lay-by as a turning point and I see them daily inching out only to draw back and use the north exit which due to continued growth is itself partially obscuring oncoming traffic
