Sewage leak onto Newgate Street

Karbon Homes were doing some repairs on their Mains Place properties a few weeks ago and damaged the soil pipe in the process. Sewage has been leaking out onto Mains Place and out onto Newgate Street ever since.

- Where cars are having to drive on the opposite side of the road due to a blocked drain
- Where pedestrians are having to walk off the pavement into the road due to a blocked drain

- Where surface water from the highway is entering private property
- Where there is a build-up of surface water at a bus stop
- Where there is a build-up of surface water at pedestrian crossings

Also reported to Northumbrian Water. I think they have reduced the flow but not resolved it completely.
