Serious dog fouling problem along Corbridge riverside path

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your immediate attention a serious dog fouling problem along the foot trail on the south side of the river at the Corbridge riverside. The trail runs right along the river’s edge and is increasingly marred by dog mess, not only on the path but also accumulating in the adjacent bushes.

Despite the presence of warning signs indicating a £1,000 penalty for non-compliance, these measures have proven insufficient in deterring the issue. The persistent accumulation of dog fouling poses health risks and diminishes the natural beauty of this much-loved community space.

I respectfully request that the council takes prompt and effective action to address this problem. Enhanced enforcement measures, coupled with more frequent cleaning and maintenance of the area, would greatly improve the situation. I would appreciate any information regarding the steps the council plans to take or any community initiatives that could be supported to remedy this issue.
