Hi From the centre of Riding Mill I followed the old A68 south passed the Glebe. The OS Map showed the path split at the South end of Whiteside Wood. I wished to follow the path heading East over the A68 to connect to another bridlepath heading to West Broomley. This bridlepath was blocked by a fence at the A68 so I turned back. At the path split, I followed a Bridlepath sign South which said West Bromley 1 mile. This well used path also abruptly ended at the A68 I could see no further signs for West Broomley. I could see no safe path South along the A68 that allowed access to the tarmac road leading East to West Bromley. I tried to walk through High Shilford to safely access the desired bridlepath. This path was not signed and I was turned back by a resident who said it was not a right of way. I then had to return to riding Mill and follow the River Tyne trail into Shilford West Wood. My question is How do I safely follow either of the bridlepaths to get to west Broomley and the linked paths?
