Light intrusion

Reported via mobile in the Damaged / Missing / Facing Wrong Way category anonymously at 23:13, Tuesday 15 April 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7441295.

For many years the lighting from this street light has been an issue with intrusion into the back bedrooms in our house. This has become more of a problem recently as there is a lot of light coming into what are now our two children’s rooms at the back of the house despite blackout shades and blinds. We would really appreciate any steps which could be taken to limit the light coming onto the house from this street light by use of a shield for example. It would make such a difference to bed-time. Thank you for looking into this matter.
