Several potholes on the this stretch of road fromA697 junction uphill to Coldmartin

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7438614.

These potholes are growing in size and number. This road is used by agricultural and domestic vehicles. Its single carriageway therefore avoiding the pot holes is hard and there is a drop off on one side of the road making going off road impossible. The surface tarmac has been lost and we are now in the concrete substrate

  • Thanks You for your report. This does not meet the Councils criteria for a pothole repair. Northumberland County Council will instruct repairs on hazardous defects once a depth of ≥40mm and ≥300mm wide in any direction is assessed on a road. For a footway we will instruct repairs at an intervention level of ≥ 20mm. Each report is risk assessed by our Highways Inspection team up inspection.
