Dangerous tree trunk over public footpath

Reported via desktop in the Other Right of Way Issue category anonymously at 16:52, Mon 14 April 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7434584.

Location : PROW 502/023 Allendale Parish W3W ///mermaids.crisp.runs. 200 metres west of path junction with B6295. There is a sawn-off tree trunk over the footpath at head height. It is a clear danger to path users as this section of the path is on a rise, slightly rough and usually wet so walkers tend to be looking at the ground. The tree trunk has been there for a number of years and has been reported at least twice before by others. Two days ago there was an accident here when a woman collided with the stump and injured her head.
