Big badly cracked ash tree branch

This is on council owned land, overhanging me and my neighbours gardens. The large branch in question is cracked through and keeps getting bigger. It is very heavy and would cause a lot of damage if left. The tree in question also neighbours a road on its other side. Located behind 5 alexandra crescent, next to the council river culvert.
