Trees next to my garden fence possibly in danger of coming down.

Reported via mobile in the Damaged Speed Humps category anonymously at 21:21, Monday 7 April 2025

Sent to Northumberland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7402648.

There are 3 large oak trees which are now large with a heavy crown. Particularly in the summer when in full leaf they sway considerably and large branches have come down.. They are on a bank which the soil can be washed away making the root structure vulnerable. I wonder if the “ sail” of the tree could be reduced therefore decreasing its vunerability to the wind. I would appreciate an assessment and advice on further action.

  • I have reported my concerns about trees in the woods to the back of my house. I fear that there is a danger of the trees coming down or at least breaking off large branches as when in full leaf they sway considerably in the wind and branches often fall into the garden. The ground around the roots are eroded as on a steep slope. The automatic reply suggests the problem will be reviewed within 10 days as yet I have not heard anything further.
